NextGen Political Leadership Academy
The goal of the NextGen Political Leadership Academy program is to contribute to the formation of a new generation of political and civic leaders with the knowledge and ability to critically analyze political, social, and economic issues, as well as to develop a generation with experience in community leadership. Additionally, it aims to establish a horizontal network of partnerships among future leaders based on democratic values and mutual commitments.
Democracy Youth Campaign
The project aims to strengthen understandings of democratic values and the benefits of civic engagement to youngsters in Gegharkunik, Vayots Dzor and Syunik regions. Also, the project is to strengthen networks of youth activists through trainings, hands-on experience of civic engagement.
Local Youth Dialogues
The project is to design and implement non-formal dialogue mechanisms to facilitate communication and cooperation between citizens and local authorities, to enable local youth to participate more efficiently in local decision-making processes. The project will conduct community meetings and discussions with youth to reflect on the feasibility of proposed dialogue mechanisms, which then will be finalized and conceptualized jointly with local self-government officials via “local democracy evenings” and a “local democracy conference”. A final policy recommendation will be generated in consultations with key stakeholders and advocated at the national level.
Building up Restart Network
The project is to develop a new culture of civic activism among young people. The initiative aims at uniting the youth of the capital and regions, around the values adhering by its founding members including, but not limited to freedom, quality education and exclusion of discrimination.
NextGen Podcast
This initiative comprises a sequence of video interviews, spanning 16 episodes, in which the emergent leaders from the Restart network alongside public experts will scrutinize the detrimental narratives prevalent in Armenia, propagated by ultra-right powers. The project is implemented with the cooperation of Boon TV. The podcasts is available on Restart’s and Boon TV’s social media platforms and Boon TV channel.
The project for forcibly displaced young people from Artsakh
The goal of the project is to unite forcibly displaced young people from Nagorno-Karabakh around organizations that share democratic values, such as Restart Yerevan, Gavar, and Ijevan. The aim of the project is to equip recruited youth with basic knowledge about democracy and civic participation, empowering them to resist propaganda and manipulation directed against democracy.
ReForum camp-workshop
“ReForum” youth-student camp-workshop is one of the activities aimed at the expansion of the network and the promotion thereof. It enables to engage 100-150 young people from all regions of the RA and impart them skills and knowledge necessary to carry out their own projects in their respective communities or universities upon the end of the project or to be engaged in Restart’s activities as a member of a volunteer.
